I wrote this song almost two years ago on this small guitar I found at a house we were staying at on tour. It originally only had a verse and chorus but I added the second verse and chorus later on to make it feel more of a song and finish the story of the song. Again this song had a few different versions. I recorded it a few times and never really liked any of them until I decided to track it in my garage.
lyrics
Woke up
with this gaping hole
so I walked down to my swimming pool
stand there
at the edge
staring at me, I'm staring right at me
jump in
let my body sink
let the water take control of me
it's silent
this is just what I need
I'm happy only when I'm drowning
And I can't get over this
losing feeling in my finger tips
lose the sun behind the clouds
it's dark down here
and there's no sound
Woke up
in a different place
to find all my problems been erase
I'm happy
I don't know
I lost myself sometime ago
And I can't get over this
losing feeling in my finger tips
lose the sun behind the clouds
it's dark down here
and there's no sound
where I will drown
cold and alone where my body will be found
